Watch these and find out how you really are!
WHAT IS A COACH?
A coach in the sense of Team Scheffy and "The Scheffy Challenge" is a *Motivator*. We like to think of it as a workout buddy. Someone who creates an accountability factor. Too often we embark on grand plans to change our lives only to fall short because we aren't accountable to anybody. This is where the "Coach" comes in.
The way we like to look at it is the same as when you see a couple of women going on their morning walks. We all see them in our neighborhoods. Those women aren't telling each other, "Look, if you put THIS foot over here and take the OTHER foot and move it like THIS and make sure you do it in THIS rhythm and order you'll get THESE results." No, they're simply walking together and one of the main reasons they do it is because they're *accountable* to each other. They've made a *scheduled* appointment to work out together. That's what we do. We map out a plan and do it together.
I've seen many people come into our world and within a *day* they're out there cheering people on and in turn it gives them a greater sense of purpose and keeps them on track as well. That's my own experience. It helped me stay the course and continues to. THAT is the SECRET!
Giving support. That's what we do. We are not *trainers*. There are many wonderful programs available to do that for you and we have countless examples of how those programs have been the tipping point in our own transformations.
Some questions that are asked constantly are "Am I READY? Am I QUALIFIED?" The answer is yes. If you are willing to show up, be accountable and *help* others achieve their fitness and wellbeing goals you are most certainly qualified and able to be a coach in "The Scheffy Challenge".
